| Chapter: The One Where Sakuragi Starts Having Back Pain
  
Sakuragi has gotten up and rejoined the game after the table crash.
After making another amazing rebound, Sakuragi suddenly feels a sharp pain
in his back, but he doesn’t say anything to anyone about it. Rukawa, however,
has noticed it, so he goes over to Sakuragi...

Rukawa: You didn’t put in enough energy.
Sakuragi: What?! You say I don’t have enough energy? Me, the
tensai who has unlimited energy?!
Rukawa: Yes. You were unsatisfactory. You forced me to use all
of my energy. Don’t you need to get off the court?
Sakuragi: What?!
It is a weakly-disguised attempt for Rukawa to show his concern. (Hint.)

Then Sakuragi suddenly remembers their one-on-one (you know, in
the court that night when Rukawa totally whooped his ass). And then
Rukawa continues...

Rukawa: If you don’t want to be taken off the court, follow
me. |
| On the bench Anzai-sensei smiles at Rukawa’s comments toward Sakuragi.
(He knows, I tell you!) And Rukawa puncuates his protectiveness with an
awesome three-pointer over Sawakita’s head.
I’m not too sure what Rukawa wants, whether it’s for Sakuragi to be
taken off court (to rest his back), or to remain on court but leave the
bad-ass jumping to him (Rukawa). Either way, it works for me. Personally,
I think he was going for leaving-the-court option first, then when it was
obvious that it wouldn’t work, he went for the remain-on-court-but-follow-me
option next.
